The question can be solved. They have equal amounts at the start, so 7 units each. 3 units moved from J, so J is now left with 4. The ratio now is 4:10. Now the person gives back 1/3. Change to common unit between 3 and 10 is 30. So 10u now becomes 30n (new units). And the person gives 10/30 so 10n is moved back to J, leaving 20n. 4u now change to 12n (multiply by 3). 12n+10n =22n. The ratio is now 22:20. J is up by 2n units. Are you able to take it from here? :)
