J represents Jie Min and R represents Rudy. The first step was to eliminate one variable, either J or R. Then, find out the value of J and R. After knowing the values of J and R, use the initial equations to find out how many red marbles each of them has. Afterwards, find out the final number of red marbles each of them has and subtract from initial.
