For question 4,
We know that 8 pencils has the same value as 12 erasers. So we have to find the value of one pencil by dividing 12 eraser by 8. Buying 6 pencils would leave the person with only enough money to buy 2 pencils worth of erasers. Hence you multiply by 2 to get the eraser value.
For question 5,
Draw model to help you visualise the total “units”.
