plot the 2 graphs on each side of the equation. Since they only intersect at 1 point, the equation only has 1 real root.

I didnt ask for graph i asked to solve the equation!
the question asked to show that there is only 1 real root. And if you can use a GC, you can show it this way. Otherwise an alternative answer is posted below
