Yknow from eqn 2 alone I can solve for x and y alr?
x(y-2) = (y-2)
x(y-2) - (y-2) = 0
(y-2)(x-1) = 0
y-2 = 0; y = 2
or
x-1 = 0; x = 1
x(y-2) - (y-2) = 0
(y-2)(x-1) = 0
y-2 = 0; y = 2
or
x-1 = 0; x = 1
The step after your substitution, the expansion is incorrect. It should be (6x-4x^2)/3 - 2x not (6x-4x^2)/3 - 2
