100% is the original price, not the selling price!

Once you got that, the rest should be easy to manage!

The answer is shown in the solution. You need to understand that original price of something is 100%.

If I say the price of the shift is increased by 24% and now costs $124, the $124 is equal to 124 units, NOT 100 units.
