One Answer Below
Anyone can contribute an answer, even non-tutors.
Given that theta is an obtuse angle measured in radians and that sin theta = k, find, in terms of k, an expression for
(i) cos theta
(ii) tan theta
(iii) sin (theta + pi)
See 1 Answer
(i) cos θ = −√(1 – k²)
(ii) tan θ = (sin θ) / (cos θ)
tan θ = −k / √(1 – k²)
(iii) sin (θ + π) = −k
