Is it because...
(3^2x = 3^2x+1 )

Y=3^2x function gives a graph of asymptote ie x= -1
And y= 3^2x+1 function caused a shift of graph upwards so that x=0 again?

The horizontal asymptote for y=3^(2x), y=e^x or y=3^(2x+1) are the same which is y=0.
If function is y=3^(2x) + 1, then the horizontal asymtote is moved up by 1 count becomes y=1.
There is no vertical asymptote of x=... for these types of graph, x can take any real numbers along its axis..

They are not "same" but have similar shape. If you draw both graphs side by side you can see the difference.
