can someone tell me how can we know like when we should put the “-“ sign first or the”+” sign first for the factorize part?

It doesnt matter, but usually you put the bracket ith + first.
i feel like it matters because like it effect the answer doh

To get +6y, you'll need -2y + 6y. Hence using the cross method, it'll be (8y-1)(2y+1) instead of (8y+1)(2y-1).
