I understand that from lumen of small intestine to epithelial cell of villi is active transport. and i researched and found out that it's diffusion from epithelium to bloodstream. why? is it because blood continually transports the glucose and aa away so there's a lower conc to allow for diffusion? thanks loads!

Hi Woon Teng, you asked quite a challenging question. The screenshot shows my take on the answer. Do note that the levels of sugar and aa in the bloodstream should be relatively constant due to the functions of the liver, pancreas and kidneys.

As such, concentration gradient in the small intestine will be maintained for the absorption of nutrients.
