When you have three known sides and no angle given use guessing. For example,I used my pencil to put a dot for a possible position of C that is 5cm from A and then measure its distance from B.If it is more than 7cm,I try plotting another possible point nearer to the right and vice versa.I repeat this until I get AC=5cm and BC=7cm.Do not try to use trigonometry to guess the angle as it will have many decimal places.

Try not to do trial and error to guess where is point C. We are taught how to draw triangle and 4-sided figures using compass and ruler. Using a compass and measuring 7cm width allows you to draw an arc with radius of 7cm. In other words, any point on the arc, it will be definitely 7cm. It goes for the 5cm as well.
