Means you try to use numbers that are less than 40 (eg 39, 38, 37, 36....) and use the number to divide by both 6 and 8. When you divide the number by 6, you need to get a remainder of 5. Similarly, when you divide the number by 8, you need to get a remainder of 3. When i tried to use 35 divide by 6, i will get a remainder of 5. When i usr the same number, 35, divide it by 8, i will get a remainder of 3. These two fulfils the criteria that is stated in the question. Hope it helps!
