Let X be the cost of a canned drink.
Cost of a muffin = X +0.5
Cost of a canned drink = X
Thus,
4 muffins and 4 canned drinks = 8X + 2
8X + 2 = 12
Price of a canned drink = (12-2) / 8
=1.25
Price of a muffin = 1.25 + 0.5 =1.75
Ans: 1.75
Cost of a muffin = X +0.5
Cost of a canned drink = X
Thus,
4 muffins and 4 canned drinks = 8X + 2
8X + 2 = 12
Price of a canned drink = (12-2) / 8
=1.25
Price of a muffin = 1.25 + 0.5 =1.75
Ans: 1.75
