Can anyone explain to me why the answer is in radian mode?

The angle given in the sine function is pi/3. Whenever pi is used, the unit of angle for the whole question is always radian.

If you key in sin(pi/3) into calculator, make sure your mode is radian (R).
If you key in sin(60) into calculator, make sure your mode is degree (D).
