5a answer is
T-(-3) because t is a greater positive number than -3 thus to find the different in value you take the bigger value minus the smaller value. After simplifying the final answer is t+3

The total sum is being represented by a total of 9 units as implied by the summing of the ratio in the question. When being split equally A will have 3 units and so do the rest. A will have 1 unit more when they have an equal share as compared to being split according to the ratio, 1unit = $20, 9units = $180
