Convert your coordinates from cartesian to parametric values. You can then use the expression in (i) to obtain the gradient of the curve, which appears to match the general slope of the curve (not too steep).
For some reason my GC doesn't quite reflect the curve using radians, so you could try using degrees if that's an issue for you.
