Not binomial exactly, is a modified version.
Actual binomial expansion is for positive integer power, ie (1+f(x))^n, the n must be a positive integer, the f(x) can be big values.
Maclaurin expansion works on non-integer of n, either positive or negative, and |f(x)|< 1.
