You can find the height of the two triangles using the formula 1/2 x base x height. The total height of the two triangle will give the height of the trapezium. You can then find the area of the trapezium with the two lengths and height.

Ok. So there are 3 steps. Step 1 using length of simillar triangle since the smaller triangle is 3 cm and the bigger one is 9 cm its ratio is 1:3 . Step 2 finding area ratio hence is 1:9 as you square both ratios then using the 7 cm as the area of traingle aeb you can find the bigger triangle which 63 cm square. Lastly use trapezium formula 1/2 × sum of parallel sides therefore i used 1/2 × 3×9= 13.5. And now you can use the area of bigger triangle over the trapezium area which is 63/13.5 which is 14/3. As you use 63 divided by 13.5 to find the ratio.
