Second question: No, she is not correct. She feels colder when touching the metal pole because heat is conducted from her warmer hand to the colder metal pole, so she loses heat and feels cold. Plastic does not conduct heat as well which is why less heat conducted from her hand to the plastic which means she losy less heat and she felt that it was warmer.
