Hi. Answer sheet is (2).

If we inflate six balloons from a tank of compressed air, the volume of air in the tank will decrease right? Cos the volume of the air in the tank is reduced by the volume of air used to inflate the balloons. Or my son theory is wrong.

Back to basic, Volume of air is measure of cylinder. Only Mass will reduce.
Lets say, if you have a bottle of air, the volume is 300ml.
After use 50ml, but the air in bottle still 300ml, only less pressure in the bottle.
Air Volume = The amount of space that the air occupies.
