Not sure if it is an answer, but "solve for m1" probably just means make m1 the subject.

You know, like move everything else over until only m1 is left on one side.

If that is the case, then the steps would be:

Gm1m2 = Fd^2
m1 = fd^2/(gm2)

In the first step, multiply both side by d2/G. And then multiple both side by 1/m2 to finally get m1 as subject.
