LCM for 56 and 140 is 280.
280 ÷ 56 = 5
k = 5

tysm but im confused on how did the index notation for 140 become 2 to the power of 3 times 5 times 7 i thought it was 2 to the power of 2?

140=56k
56=2^3 * 7
Then equate
140=2^3 * 7 * k
2^2*3*5*7=2^3*7*k
By observation,
