Actually can skip this step..
-7x -2x = -9x straight away.

(2-8)t - (7+2)x + ⅔ + 1/12

Is play around with sign.

( y ) = 1 × y = y
-(y) = -1 x y = -y

-(7x-2x) if you expand
= {-1× 7x} + {-1× -2x}
= -7x + 2x it is wrong, different from it original value
