Actually you can use - sign.....
(2-8)t - (7+2)x + ⅔ + 1/12

...
Is play around with sign.
- × - get +
- × + get -

( y ) = 1 × y = y
-(y) = -1 x y = -y

oh wait uh, how do u know if the seven shld be negative or positive though?

i thought it was supposed to be

(2t - 8t) - (7x - 2x) + (2/3 + 1/12)

but instead its not? why is the “7x” like negative 7x

If
-(7x-2x) if you expand
= {-1× 7x} + {-1× -2x}
= -7x + 2x it is wrong, different from it original value
