Yuki wanted to buy 15 muffins and 12 egg tarts. However, she had just enough money to buy either 21 muffins or 28 egg tarts. After buying 6 muffins and 4 egg tarts, she had $21.60 left.
(a) How much did she pay for each egg tart?
(b) How much money did Yuki need to buy the remaining muffins and egg tarts?
(a)
21-15=6
6m=12e
1m=2e
2m=4e
12e+4e=16e
28e-16e=12e
12e=$21.60
1e=$1.80 answer
(b)
$1.80x28=$50.40
$50.40➗21=$2.40
$2.40x15=$36
$1.80x12=$21.60
$36+$21.40=$57.60
$57.60-$50.40=$7.20 answer
Is it correct working and answers.

Can anyone help me see my answers and working correctly or any other method?
Thank you
3m=4e
6m = 8e
After bought 6m + 4e he left with 21.6
8e+4e = 12e
28-12=16
16e→21.60
1e= $1.35
Your working is correct, due to minor mistake 1m=2e.
See 1 Answer
So, ×2 to get 6m = 8e
Hence 6m + 4e, we replace 6m to 8e
Became 8e + 4e = 12e
As given, she have enough money to buy 28e, after use 12e, she left 21.60
So, we can use 28e - 12e = 21.60
