By using inspection,
We have to collect the like terms.
In this case, we will sum the coefficient of e^kx first, giving A+2K.
After that, we will sum the other pair, the coefficient of xe^kx, giving AK+6A.
So, for that equation to equate to zero, the sum of the coefficients of e^kx and xe^kx have to be equal to zero.

Sorry I still don't understand

What sum do you mean?

I get the separation into like terms, but I don't see why the coefficients sums have anything to do with 0.

Is there another example to illustrate
