At 0830 hrs,
James has travelled 60 × 1/2 = 30 km

For both of them to meet, they must travel a combined distance of 100 - 30 = 70 km

Let the time taken for them to meet be x hours.

After x hours,
James has travelled 60x km
Kumar has travelled 50x km
Total distance travelled = 60x + 50x
= 110x km

70 = 110x
x = 7/11 hrs
~ 38 mins (nearest minute)

0830 hrs → 38 mins → 0908 hrs

James and Kumar will pass each other at around 0908 hrs.
