Chocolate cupcakes sold:
4/7 of chocolate cupcakes
= 1/5 × 4/7 = 4/35 of total
(Convert to same denominator)
Left = 2/5 of total
= 14/35 of total
Sold = 1 - 14/35 = 21/35 of total
Banana cupcakes sold:
17/35 of total
1/35 of total = 51 ÷ 17 = 3
Chocolate cupcakes sold (4/35 of total)
= 3 × 4
= 12
1/5 of cupcakes = chocolate
4/5 of cupcakes = banana

4/7 of chocolate cupcakes
= 1/5 × 4/7 = 4/35 of total
