thanku for the quick response! but may i know why is (ii) square root minus and not plus? as far as i know it’s ab^2 = ac^2 + bc^2 ( which i got the wrong answer )

Angle PCA is right angle (90°)
So PC² = PA² - AC²

Another word
PA²= PC² + AC²
