1st week ratio 1:2 (Total 3 units)
*3 units is also 600 pens.
So remaining unsold books after 1st week is 2 units or 600 ÷ 3 × 2 = 400 pens.
2nd week ratio 5:3 (Total 8 units)
8 units -> 400 pens
1 unit -> 400 ÷ 8 = 50 pens
5 units -> 5 × 50 = 250 pens
250 pens were sold in 2nd week

I'm also wondering ... in the second week, "the number of pens sold" is total number of pens sold or only pens sold in second week
