Numbers on the rth row follows an AP with a = 1, d = 1, and n = r. Hence, the sum of rth row equals to r(r+1)/2 = (r² + r)/2
The sum of all n rows
= Σ(r² + r)/2
= 1/2 [n(n +1)(2n + 1)/6 + n(n + 1)/2]
= 1/6 n(n + 1)[(2n + 1)/2 + 3/2]
= 1/6 n(n + 1)(n + 2)
The sum of all n rows
= Σ(r² + r)/2
= 1/2 [n(n +1)(2n + 1)/6 + n(n + 1)/2]
= 1/6 n(n + 1)[(2n + 1)/2 + 3/2]
= 1/6 n(n + 1)(n + 2)
