in the end, ahmad had 3 times of bala. so draw a model diagram representing that. after draw how much they lost and the total. if u subtract the lost from the total u get the total in the end. so,
3u=90-12-12=72
1u=72÷3=24
bala=24+12(remember to add back the lost ones!)=36#
