Or
6 × 6 = 36
Area of square = L × L
64cm² = 8cm × 8cm
So one side of the square is 8cm long.
Now the container can fit 3 small boxes across its breadth when the boxes are placed breadth wise(breadth of the boxes refers to the square side lengths)
Breadth of container = 8cm × 3 = 24cm
But the container can fit 2 small boxes across its breadth when the boxes are placed lengthwise wise(longest side of the boxes)
So 2 box lengths = 24cm
1 box length = 24cm ÷ 2 = 12cm
Length of container = 4 box lengths
= 4 × 12cm
= 48cm
Breadth of container = height of container
= 3 square lengths
= 24cm (already found earlier)
Volume of container
= Length × breadth × height
= 48cm × 24cm × 24cm
= 27 648 cm³
