1/3 add. 5/9 =8/9 (apple +orange)
What is it means 6/11 fruit sold are apple, though the apple sold already mentioned is 1/3 ? Don’t understand what the question is asking??? i thought there are only two kind of fruit ( which is only apple +orange)
But 6/11 of the fruits sold are apples means, when you look at the TOTAL number of fruits sold (apples sold and oranges sold),
6 parts out of 11 parts of fruit sold are apples.
You'll have to understand the wording correctly.
⅓ of apples are sold is not the same as ⅓ of all the fruits are sold.
