I don’t understand your 2nd part answers? Why you choose the total unit to be 60? Why if we don’t find the common factor of the boy which is 4unit and 9unit for competor, which is common factor of 4 and 9 is 36???, I don’t understand why you chose the 12 becoming 60 unit???

12 is the LCM of 3, 4 , cos of total unchanged, so we have to align the number same

Can you understand this ?

Good question upto here

After align the total as 12u
Boys total is 4u, right?

60%×4u=3/5 ×4u is not a whole number, is it?

So 5×4u=20u

60%×20u=12u

36 is based on (4,9)

first , it does not mk sense, cos the item that we hv to align as same is total
NOT boy and non-competitor

2nd
do u think the 36 can hv u the whole number w multiplying 60%, as 36 is the boys in total?
60% × 36
= 0.6×36
= ⅗ ×36
