I have a question about b) the answer sheet says “translate the graph of y=sinx by -pi/3 units parallel to the x axis “ and then “stretch the resulting graph by scale factor 2” . I was wondering if it was still correct if the order was switched

Movements in x and y are independent of one another, so you can switch them. That said, the convention is for us to settle movements in x followed by movements in y.
