From the formula given, it seems like lg y is on the y axis and lg (gx) is on the x axis. But i thought that the vertical displacement y is the independent variable which is supposed to be on the x axis instead ?

Please help

Only x has power n, not the rest of terms. So lg y = lg g - lg (2v^2) + n lg x....

Is velocity v constant? If yes, then x and y are variables. If no, then...

Isnt it like Y=mX + c
m =n
So isnt x =lgx
