16u + 0.4 = 12u + 1.8
u = (1.8-0.4)÷(16-12) = 0.35 kg (Ans)
(b)
1.8 ÷ 0.35 ≈ 5
1.8 - 5×0.35 = 0.05 kg
= 50 g (Ans)
