(Total: “9”)
Coffee : (banana and choc) is 5 : 6
But how can (banana and choc) be 9 and 6 at the same time?
Gotta make them the same. We are looking to convert them to “18”.
Banana : choc is 8 : 10 (total: “18”)
Coffee : (banana and choc) is 15 : 18
So, banana : choc : coffee is 8 : 10 : 15.
Now, 162 coffee are sold, making the number of coffee 2/3 the number of (banana and choc).
In other words, the new ratio is 2 : 3, as compared to the previous 15 : 18.
We have to change 2 : 3 into 12 : 18 to reflect the fact that there is no change in the (banana and choc) at all.
Coffee decreases from “15” to “12”.
So,
3 units = 162 muffins
1 unit = 54 muffins
Total is 33 units.
33 units = 1782 muffins
