Can someone pls help to explain why (b) answer is not -9 but -7? I do not understand. Thank you very much!

there is a change of sign because initially it was a negative x , in order to make it positive x the sign have to change the opposite way

The correct answer for part b) is -9. The person who created the worksheet entered the wrong answer of -7
