2x - 7y + 1 = 0
x + 2y + 6 = 0
(Do you know why both must be zero?)
x = -2y - 6
Then,
2 (-2y - 6) - 7y + 1 = 0
-4y - 12 - 7y + 1 = 0
-11y - 11 = 0
-11y = 11
y = -1
x = -2 (-1) - 6
x = -4
x + 2y + 6 = 0
(Do you know why both must be zero?)

Then,
2 (-2y - 6) - 7y + 1 = 0
-4y - 12 - 7y + 1 = 0
-11y - 11 = 0
-11y = 11
y = -1
x = -2 (-1) - 6
