Have to multiply by 6 because the 3 numbers can appear in 6 different ways ...

Alternatively, you can consider the probability of each of the cases above, then add the probabilities together ...
3/6 x 2/6 x 1/6 +
3/6 x 1/6 x 2/6 +
2/6 x 3/6 x 1/6 +
2/6 x 1/6 x 3/6 +
1/6 x 3/6 x 2/6 +
1/6 x 2/6 x 3/6
= 3/6 x 2/6 x 1/6 x 6
Notice that the probability of each case is equal, so it is equivalent to calculating the probability of one case times it by 6.
