b) since she left 50% of the saving.
Therefore, total spent = 50%
20% on dress then
30% on shoe
30% → $24
10% → $8
100% → $80
Her saving is $80.
Let me know if answer is wrong.
She then spent 20% of the saving on a dress = She then spent 20% of the REMAINING saving on a dress? If this the case... then answer for a)
80% (8u) of remaining = 50% of the saving
20% (2u) spent on dress = 2/8 × 50 = 12.5%
Answer = 12.5%
b) 50%-12.5% = 37.5%
37.5% → $24
1% → $0.64
100% → $64
