Number of cubes without any painted face
= 6 x 6 x 10
= 360
= 6 x 6 x 10
= 360

Since the question asking for cubes without paint, this can only happen to cubes formed below those cubic faces at all the top side. Thus, the clean cubes must be those 1 cube below all the painted faces.
Mathematically, u just minus 1 cube below all the top faces. Understand now?
