8 hundreds ==> 800
5 ones ==> 5
7 hundredths ==> 0.07

We add these numbers to get 805.07.

------------------------------------------------------

If a decimal number goes like this

abcd.efg

then
a is in the thousands place
b is in the hundreds place
c is in the tens place
d is in the ones place, directly to the left of the decimal place
e is in the tenths place, directly to the right of the decimal place
f is in the hundredths place

Hi Anit,

You must understand the fundamentals of number - whole numbers in thousands, hundreds, tens n ones. Numbers in decimals are written with words ending with 'the. For example,

Tenth = 1÷10 = 1/10 = 0.1

Hundredth = 1÷100 = 1/100 = 0.01

Happy learning with fun. CY..
