Hi , don’t be confused of this type of questions where they tell u to express answers in terms of ___.

Just think of it like a normal solving question , to find area of PUVS , you just need to add area of PQRS ( 8 + 7k ) and QUVR. So here’s the working :

Area of QUVR
= 6 x k
= 6k

Area of PUVS
= ( 8 + 7k ) + 6k
= 8 + 13k

Hence answer is (b) , (8+13k)
