Find out how much of the house is painted in a day
Mark can do 1/3 in 1 day
Jack can do 1/5 in 1 day
Together they can paint 8/15 in a day
So together they take 2 days to paint a house

Hi!The Ans you gave was wrong.The correct ans should be 1 7/8 days

Hi there, apologies as this was did in quite a rush and assumed they just want the number of days.
To get 1 & 7/8, simply just take 8/15 in a day as 8 units.
So they take 24/8=3 as how many hours they take to complete 1 unit.
Thats makes it a total of 45 hours to complete 15 units in total and hence 1 & 7/8 days.
