Why need to do (b) in cm cube and not square?
Why need to do (b) in cm cube and not square?
Because mass is relayed directly to volume via density.
Things like mass and volume are three-dimensional, so the cube reflects this.

AC Lim’s approach is entirely correct and how I would expect Sec 2 students to answer the question.
Things involving area, including surface area, are two-dimensional so “square” is the way to go.
Things involving lengths, including radius, diameter, side, length, breadth, base, perpendicular height and so on are one-dimensional so there should not be swuare or cube.
