the expression in the cube root involves product & division. can use product rule & quotient rule, but may be quite tedious & messy.

for such expressions, may be easier to apply ln on both sides and apply implicit differentiation.

looking at the answer key given, probably the teacher meant for this question to be solved exactly in this way.
