first expand (2+y)^5 up to y^2 term,
then in the expansion, replace y by (3x-4x^2).

for cases where the expression in the brackets is factorisable, you can also factorise, then expand each factor and multiply the 2 expansions together.

since the question asks for the first three terms, it means you need the first three non-zero terms. normally, you only need to care about terms up to x^2. in the case where any of the 1st three terms are zero, then you need to find additional terms until you have three non-zero terms.
