4+2+a = b
a+6 = b
4a+3 = b
4a+3 = a+6
Ans:
a = 1
b = a+6 = 7
(ii)
x² + xy + y = 7
2x + 3y = 7 ⇨ y = (7-2x)/3
3x² + x∙(7-2x) + (7-2x) = 21
x² + 5x - 14 = 0
(x-2)∙(x+7) = 0
x = -7 ⇨ y = (7-2x)/3 = 7
Ans:
{ x = -7, y =7 }
